Is Epiphone LP Standard Plus Top better than Plain Top?

So I was looking at a couple of Epi LP's at Guitar Center. There's the standard Plain Top and standard Plus Top, the latter of the two being $150 more expensive. Is there a big difference between the two? Or even a noticeable difference? And if so, what is it?


Also, just to be sure, an Epiphone LP is an upgrade from a Squier Jagmaster, right?
