Is Genghis Khan an interesting history topic?

I'm sposed to do a essay on someone for Ancient history. Genghis Khan sounds wildly interesting and is also supposedly the most successful conqueror ever.
Is it a good topic, as in is it interesting?

Yea, you made a good choice.

You may consider Oedipus. The ruler who married his mother; the story behind that explains how it happened. It wasn't intentional. He was a great general & ruler. Very interesting.
