My Earth science prof is kind of wacko, we are pretty sure she is hopped up on shrooms half of the time. Anyways, she was talking about global warming and how it's mostly natural, because we are still coming out of an iceage. She said that things will most likely continue to warm and eventually all the icecaps will melt, area's near the equator will be too hot to live in, and that New Orleans is basically screwed since they are already below the sea level.

Any truth to that, or was it the shrooms talkin?

Your Earth science teacher should read about Milankovitch cycles, theyre plainly visible in ice cores. They do cause warming and cooling and they are natural, but right now if it were only them, we'd be slowly cooling. And they take thousands of years to happen.
