I got to know a guy about a week ago, at an amusement park. At first, he was a little stand-offish, but later we hung out and he sat next to me on all the rides and stood next to me. He kept looking at me up and down. I asked to see his phone, because I was going to secretly insert my number, and he looked at me kinda weird when he handed it to me, so I chickened out. The night ended well, with him giving me a hug. I've heard from my family that he is very shy, and doesn't have a lot of experience with girls, and that it was surprising that he initiated a hug. We found each other on facebook, and I've been the one initiating all the conversations. He replies, and sometimes we have great conversations, but he never starts one. I offered him my number a few days ago, and he hasn't texted me. Yet, we "poke" each other on facebook. I'm getting mixed signals here and I'm wondering if he's genuinely interested but shy, or if he's just a flirtatious jerk. My family says that the second he met me he was in a better mood than he was before. What is going on here?!
