well we sit facing each other during class and he's always talking to me, (his friends say he's "wheeling" me) and during gym he could have chosen to go against someone else but he chose me (My friend said it's cause he likes me but i say it's because he wanted a higher rank on the gym board thing) we talk a lot too, Does he like me? and if so, why hasn't he asked me out? or is he just messing with me?
 
Ask him out. He might just be too nervous to ask you first. If you don't want to ask him out, try flirting with him (smiling at him, touching his arm/shoulder, etc..). If he responds in a positive way (flirting back) there's a good chance that he likes you.
