For most of my life I've been either average height or below average depending on the age. I'd figure I wouldn't get that tall because I'm female and both my birth parent's are under 5'6". I'd always been quite slim but the rest of my family is on the heavier side. I'm 15 and about 2 years ago I became a vegetarian. I avoid sugary and greasy food because it gives me stomach pains. Recently my legs started hurting a lot at night so I would take long walks to get the pain out. The doctor said it was just my bones growing. I don't eat much because I forget to eat and then it's impossible to finish my whole meal. Yet because of my "short" genes and my diet I'm still taller and skinnier then my parent's. I just keep on growing more :S. Is height affected by genetics or nutrition?

Genetics definitely. You may have had ancestors further fdown you family either from you mums or your dads side who have been rather tall. There are sooo many different genetic codes for height so you just happened to get lucky and get the tall one ;)

Both. Children of your generation are better nourished on average than their parents, so your situation is common. Of course, many nutrition myths continue from your parents and their generation.

Make sure you get enough calcium, vitamin D, and proten.
