People I know are men. I rarely run into a funny woman anymore. Unless she's knee deep in vodka.
@Larry2
You know that all the great thinkers of history were mild alcoholics.

Holy Sh*t, Your right! It was there all the time and I never saw it.

It is a sign of better depth perception skills. Humour requires adjusting perspectives. Women seem better at inter-personal skills like compassion and listening and all that stuff. Men are more analytical and intellectual and I think that's where the sense of humour comes from. There are some good comediennes, but not a lot.

@ccr - I LOVE white russians! :-) Mmmmmmm...

idk if this is a scientifically proven fact.

I have always felt that it takes intelligence to find humor in the everyday.

no because what people see as funny is purely opinion

keep in mind guys and girls tend to have different senses of humor, the girls in my school are great at making their girl friends laugh

i personally think women like tina fey are funny and kathy griffin made a good career as a comedian

it depends on the person.
I have met a lot of intelligent and humorous individuals.
A person who is intelligent AND humorous is able to cleverly
remember obscure details and use them in a new way that is
ingenious and hilarious. It is the way they manipulate their words
that is so humorous.
Humor is also different for everyone, so the reason you don't think
women are funny for the most part is probably because you have a different sense of humor.

It does take intelligence to make up jokes, because you have to make connections that imply certain things about what you're talking about to make it funny.

Having a sense of humor is. You have to have a sense of humor to see the ridiculousness of situations. You're right, I normally don't play the clown unless I'm knee deep in white russians.
