I never understand politically mixed marriages like that.

I couldn't have a wife who didn't share my political values.
 
It's quite hypocritical to demean gopers for not liking someone with a D behind their name when there are plenty of in the dnc who don't like anyone with an R behind their name.
 
So she's a democrat. I guarantee she's a conservative democrat so they probably agree a lot.

Other than that, they most likely keep politics out of the relationship.
