Is it abnormal to be interested in serial killers and assassins?

I don't worship them or anything, but I like studying a criminal with a terrifying record. I want to get into their minds so badly and figure out how they think. I also love writing, and just about all of my stories feature at least one dark and twisted character. Could this be a sign that there might be something wrong with me?
 
of course not, personally i think genocide is interesting
 
maybe, but you are probably fine. I am fascinated by the minds of serials killers - what makes them different from the rest of us.
so i am interested in the books that have been written by people who created r used psychological profiling. to me, it is just an extension of my interest in many specialties in psychology.
 
I do the same thing. For me it extends to all predators -- including wolves, tigers, etc. I just find the subject fascinating, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. You should read "The Sociopath Next Door," it's really great.
 
no there's definitely nothing wrong with you. you're perfectly fine.. even i myself is interested in studying criminals with a very terrifying records. some times we took interest with weird things it's just because were curious but if you're an actor and an author of course it is necessarily needed that you also need to think the same way as they do, in order to get in character...
 
That is not weird at all.... its your interest i mean come on its what you like know if you actually wanted to learn the criminals game plans to kill that would be weird..... but other than that its not weird at all i mean think about it how do u think stephen king and R.L Stine wrote there books they were probably really interested in paranormal and horror junk and they would put it in there stories and there great...and well ur interested in criminals and make ur own in writing so ul be a great thriller or action writer...and also that could mean u could be a a great detective or police or federal agent cause ur so interested in criminals and u;ve read about them so much that u would now all there dirty tricks and who is who ... so not weird at all :)
