...eyesights ever even if he wasn't in baseball?
I heard 20/10 or even 20/5, which made it into Guinness I recall...but is that really an "eagle eye" that Williams had, or was he one of the best visions ever?

I read once that he had 20/10 vision. He had great bat speed. He was perfectly suited to be a hitter in baseball. If they had instituted the DH a few years earlier, he might have played another 4 or 5 years.

No. If I played against a retarded person and smacked 9000 homeruns, that would be still be useless,

It was really about his ability to follow the pitches and react quickly. Naturally he was not blind but he also may not have had really great 20/20 vision either. He just had great timing and studied
hitting so he could become a great hitter. He even asked one of golf's greatest player, Ben Hogan why he could not score under par in every round he played.
