Even though you mother is being hypocritical, she has your best interest at mind. She is smoking because she is an adult, and it's legal....your a minor so it's not legal for you. Don't start...you'll end up trying to quit one day...and it's not easy. Plus, cigs take away your sense of smell, taste, energy...and can lead to loads of health problems.
 
get your own. better yet don't start as once you get hooked its a bear to quit. also if your mom jumped off a cliff would you do it?

She shouldn't smoke and she knows it. She wants better for you. Some smokers have an impossibly hard time to quit and it can kill them. It certainly hurts their health. They can't be as active as a non-smoker b/c their lungs are weakened with smoke.

Smoking is a disgusting and expensive habit. Don't do it. It also ages your skin. You will smell bad. You will have bad breath and foul body odor. You could develop emphysema and/or lung cancer. You will look old before your time.

Don't do it. Be healthy. You'll go further in life and be happier. I am a non-smoker. I tried smoking and hated it. I only did it to get my friends to shut up. I didn't even really inhale. It was so disgusting to me. I'm 36 but look young. I also wear sunscreen religiously. My skin looks good. I exercise and stay active.

Double standards aren't cool when it comes to parents, but if you aren't completely finished growing yet, smoking can have some serious repercussions to your height and development. Ask yourself if you want to be short and shrimpy for the rest of your life (if you are still a teenager or younger).

Yes, because my mother smoked and she always told me not to but I did and now I wish I didn't. She only did it because she loves you very much
