I'm just started writing a new short story/novel. It's main character is a guy at boarding school. However, I'm a 19 y.o female and am not really sure I'm capturing his character well. How he feels and how he would react to certain situations. It's not a romance, just day to day guy activities(and how he talks/act around other guys and girls)
Has anyone had any experience writing a main character that's a different gender than you? Did you find it difficult? How did you overcome issues?
