Is it illegal to download ringtones from mediafire?

i really want this ringtone and i cant find it anywhere else except on mediafire, and before I download it I wanna know if it's safe....there wasa boy at my school who recently got caught for downloading movies, and now im all scared and paranoid haha....

so please tell me anything you know..thank you!

yes its illegal. but its so unlikely that you will be caught, because they really dont care that much (theyre going after the sites, not the users)
