Stoke have also made an audacious move to sign Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva but the Brazilian is set to stay at Anfield. The young midfielder expressed a desire to leave Liverpool last week but would prefer a move abroad or to a top London club. West Ham had shown interest as part of a deal for Carlton Cole but again Lucas would prefer to stay at Anfield until a better offer comes along.
