Is it just me or was Jerry Maguire Cruise's best film?

I have to admit, even though is seems like everyone hates Tom Cruise, I have always thought he was a good actor. I grew up watching his movies and he has been a superstar for 25 years. He has had so many bluckbuster films. I like a lot of them, Rain Man, Top Gun, Vanilla Sky, Colateral, The Firm, Cocktail and so on. For some reason I just believe that Jerry Maguire is Tom Cruise's signature film and just a great film and he should have won best actor. What do you guys think?
 
he may not have a lot of range, but he has incredible charisma.

my fave is Interview with a Vampire. a close second is Rain Man. he did a great job.

I really like jerry mcguire, but my only complaint is that they went a little overboard in that final scene. "you complete me" was good enough, but they had to follow it up with "you had me at hello". it just seemed like it was going too far to demand the audience cry.
 
His best movie is Risky Business.
