Apparently I owe Hollywood Video a couple of late fees and they sent me a postcard/promotion card with a coupon to wipe the late fees if I rent again.
It has in giant letters on the front "GET THOSE LATE FEES OFF YOUR BACK". On the other side "Rent from us and we'll erase your late fee balance."
I am a littler perturbed that they are broadcasting to everyone who handled my mail that I have late fees without my permission. Is it considered debt? Do laws considering public disclosure of debt apply?
