complain about it? I'm 28 and despite handing in a CV detailing my age the employer asked it me in front of her deputy then went on to make comments about how she didn't think I looked old enough for the job. She then patronisingly asked me if I had a bf. Is this really professional conduct?
I am not suggesting I complain about discrimination, more about the conduct of the employer with her uneccesary comments

Not recommended. Federal age discrimination laws only apply to those between 40 and 70.

Sorry you ask this every day and have had loads of answers. Are you just waiting for someone to say no it is illegal and you can sue them.
One presumes you did not get the job.
And NO it is not illegal in the UK
