Is it legal to purchase tobacco with an expired learner's permit? (Nebraska)?

Hi I am having a little trouble finding all the laws in my state (Nebraska) regarding the buying and selling of tobacco. If you could direct me to them that would be great!
Im not wanting to smoke I'm just researching
 
The laws govern the age of the purchaser. The form of ID is not governed by law, only the age. If a merchant wants to sell to you, and you are of age, then the transaction is lawful whether you have any ID or not. If the merchant wants to demand other ID or simply does not want to do business with you, no law requires the merchant to accept (or refuse) and certain type of ID.
 
As long as you're over 18 and don't get caught driving that pack or cigarettes, then yes, smoke till you die.
