Is it legal to torrent something you own?

I recently bought Arma II: Combined Operations from Amazon (a downloadable version). Even though There's a download button already there, I prefer torrents, as they're faster. Is it legal for me to use a torrent in this case? I used to do this for other games I've bought, but with the new six strikes system, I want to make sure my actions are legal.
