questions about it, please read.? I was diagnosed with that about a week ago. I started getting horrible headaches around yesterday, when I ran out of prednisone. I don't think I have to go back to the hospital considering they only gave me five.. They told me it is more probable to last me around 2 months, so why would they only prescribe me five? They also gave acyclovir and I'm going to run out of it by tomorrow. I have a few questions. Why would they only give me pills and medicine that would only last for a week? Am I supposed to go BACK to the hospital and ask for more..? Is it normal to have horrible headaches during these? I have never in my life gotten a headache THIS bad. It's been killing me all day today, and still is. Any other tips or exercises to make it go away faster? I'm also taken vitamins. What do you consider as stress? My mom thinks that's how I got it because I was "stressing" about this project due the next day. I was frustrated, mad, and worried. Could that have been why I got bells palsy? These would REALLY help a lot, specially if you answered all of the questions and have had bells palsy and know what you're talking about. Thank you.
Also, out of curiosity. They were going to give me some sort of steroids to recover faster but they determined that it was too strong for me. Why can't I just take it/ was it too strong for me? I've been doing a lot of research and apparently it helps you cure a lot faster. I'm fourteen, and I went to the doctors two days after I was diagnosed. How long do YOU think it'll last?

Stress is a big contributor to many illness; including Bells Palsy, so your mum might be correct. If you require more medication then by all means go back to your doctor who will issue you with enough to last a month.
The pains your having normally emanate from the ear/jawline area, on the side that is affected, but if it is causing you severe problems, RETURN, at the earliest to your doctor who will investigate further.
From the information you supplied you, appear to be in your early to mid teens. If I am correct and your not over 50.... Then, due to your youth, it is likely that the Palsy will disappear within a short time, but you MUST relax and ease up on the stress for the benefits to occur.
Remember: YOUR HEALTH IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN LIFE...
SO LOOK AFTER YOURSELF,AND DON'T WORRY SO MUCH ABOUT MINOR THINGS.
Some famous people suffered from Bells Palsy, like Peirce Brosnan, and he turned out okay....
