Is it normal to lose interest in a friend because of lack of self respect?

I have a friend who I was very close to up until quite recently. We have been close for about 11 years, we used to see each other most days, go on holidays together, have christmas together etc etc. But she got a boyfriend 10 years ago, who has cheated on her at least 5 times in the last 6 years. I have been there for the fall out everytime, and everytime I have said "Really, are you going to stand for this BS", but she goes back and it happens again and again. So I have to think to myself "hmmm, maybe she's just after his money, but if she is, then she is basically a prostitute and I don't like her for it" or I think "hmm, maybe she is just a drama queen, and if she is, I don't like her for it" or even worse "She must just have absolutely no respect for her body or her future, and I don't like her for it". She's 37, so she's not some kid, but I find myself actually really disliking her for the fact that she doesn't respect herself enough to change her position, she is like a shell of the person she used to be, and I don't have the time or the energy to stand around every few months wiping away her tears and telling her everything is going to be ok. Is it normal to start disliking someone because they have little self respect?
