Is it ok for the remote turn on lead for car audio to be 12 awg?

typically i see 18 awg in all the amp wiring kits but i already have 12, will this be ok?
 
It shouldn't be a problem at all, the remote wire is just there to turn on your amplifier, give the power all that. you can even you the wire from speakers on your home stereo to be your remote wire, I got some those wire from a friend of my he has some useless home stereos and the wire still good he told me, so I just used as remote wire on my car and his car. He has a single Alpine M2000 amplifier, and I have single MTX audio TE1501D amplifier, both amp are decent and his 20 awg speaker wires are decent.
