i see a few blogs that use "apple" in their domain names, like theappleblog.com or appleinsider.com
they don't seem to have issue with trademark?
if i use a name like appledaily or appleblogger as domain name to blog, will that raise issue with Apple Inc.?
noted that i will not be using any apple trademark image or their logo

maybe you'd best ask permission. for sure, they have the money to make your life miserable if you don't and they object.

[Could you afford to defend yourself in a copyright infringement lawsuit? I didn't think so.]

Well it could maybe if you use "The Big Apple" or something like so it doesn't sound like you were coping them.

Apple inc. doesn't own the word "apple" completely ... because apples (from trees) predate them.

You can't build a COMPUTER and call it an Apple, though.... that would be a trademark infringement.

A blog with the word apple in it would be fine.
