Is it okay to keep a rabbit outdoors?

I'm probably getting a bunny soon, and I'm wondering if I could keep it outside in a hutch. Would that be safe? Or should I just get a pen indoors?

P.S. Our neighborhood's been known to have raccoons and coyotes...
 
Yes it's okay, but it's not the best environment for a rabbit. Rabbits lead far better and healthier lives when they are kept inside. They are also much friendlier and live a lot longer. I would really get a pen for them indoors, especially if your neighbourhood has coyotes.
 
its fine if u have a predator proof hutch, but if you have the option to have him inside then bring him in, unfortunately for me I do not have that option so my rabbit is an outdoor one, but i'd bring him in if theres coyotes and raccoons!

Your bunny will be 100 % fine outside in regards to weather.

If it is in a hutch put some hay inside for it to make a nest.
If it's in a cage make sure 2 walls and the ceiling are cover to keep out the cold and rain. You should give him/her a nest box to help keep them warm

Raccoons have never tried to go after our bunnies but if the coyotes find out he's their you might be im trouble....

If it is in a hutch put some hay inside for it to make a nest.
If it's in a cage make sure 2 walls and the ceiling are cover to keep out the cold and rain. You should give him/her a nest box to help keep them warm
