Is it okay to laugh at Christians who denounce all things pagan as being evil...?

And they allow their kids to believe that a fat guy with flying animals will bring them presents. Using magic, which is also evil according to Christianity. So Santa's magic is fine, but Harry Potter's isn't. Interesting... And what about Easter Eggs? Of course they defend it by saying the egg symbolises life, or something.

Yes, it is a bittersweet laugh, knowing that all those trees, ALL those trees all around the world, are pagan symbols, our symbols, and how wonderful it would be if everyone else called them Solstice trees, like I do.

Definitely. I make it a point to inform such people of this hypocrisy. They usually think I'm making it up. Silly Christians! I pee my pants in laughter at your idiocy.

You shouldn't laugh at them because of it because it is their belief. It doesn't matter if they believe in the flying spaghetti monster you still don't laugh at religious beliefs

Yes. Just as long as you make a distinction between the ones who denounce others for petty reasons and the rest of them.

Hello,

Not most of us. Pagans have some great art and festivities. When Christians absorbed some of their cultures over the centuries they let the Pagans keep a lot of their ceremonies and vestiges so that the transition into a totally new religion would be easier for them. They just directed these things toward another God in place of their own; no problem.

Cheers,

Michael Kelly
