Is it okay to mix butterscotch schnapps with pepsi?

I just did, took one sip and it sort of tastes gross, but not as bad as goon!
I'm trying to get drunk fastish so I put in like just over a quarter of schnapps into a pepsi can and mixed the rest with pepsi.
Confused as to if it was a stupid idea or what?
 
I mix butter shots and Pepsi on a regular basis. Its my favorite mixed drink I often wish Pepsi would come out with butterscotch cola.
