Is it possible to put a 1994 Nissan 300zx engine into a 1985 Nissan 300zx?

I found a 1985 nissan 300zx on craigslist that used to have a 3.0 liter v6 engine but now needs a new one. if i buy the car i would like to put a 1994 3.0 v6 engine in its. same displacement, but way more power. how much work would it take? would i have to redo any engine mounts or anything?
