Is it rude if my co-worker greets me with.....?

Would anyone consider it rude if their co-worker greets them with "you look tired"! She does this about once every month. I am very well rested and always look nice in my opinion. We have gone to dinner as friends outside of work in the past & I consider us "work" friends as we do talk about personal things with one another.. ??? Just wanted someones opinion.

How annoying, one should never remark on somebody else's appearance, in any way except "you look well".

You can greet this with "Oh really? That's odd because I was fine until you said something."

The next time your work mate says, "You look tired.", say, "Really? I was just about to say the same to you." Then walk away.

I'm sure she doesn't mean it in a rude way, but it does sound kind of insulting, doesn't it? Next time she says it, just give her the old frozen smile and say "No, I'm fine, but thanks for your concern." Hopefully she'll get the message.

It's not the most gracious comment in the world but I don't think it crosses the line into insult and rudeness. Just say something like "Well I certainly don't FEEL tired, but thanks for your concern" and let it go.
