is it safe to bring a new born baby on vacation?

my fiancees family is going to be going to Cuba for his sisters wedding and im just wondering if its okay to bring a new born baby with us. i know it'll be stressful but we don't want to miss this important day!

the baby will be born march 3, and the wedding is april 17 2013.

Obviously if its unsafe i wont be going.

i will be breast feeding and i will be keeping the baby out of the sun majority of the time. Especially when the sun is the hottest during the day!
 
Couple things to think about on this.

First, if your due date is March 3, and this is your first baby, there's a good chance you will deliver past your due date. Some doctors won't induce you until 10 days past your due date. So it's possible you won't deliver until after the 10th or even later. This gives you less time to recover before the trip.

Also, you never know if you will need a C section. And recovery from C sections are not easy. I had two C sections and at 4 weeks post partum I was not feeling like getting on an airplane. I was still very tender and achey.
