It's my first year growing and unfortunately we weren't so lucky with the weather this year. Lots of rain and the nights got cool quite early, so my tobacco plants have developed a fungus, what seems like Alternaria Alternata. Is it still safe to consume those leaves after I dry them? I can't find any information of A.A. possessing any threat to humans.

It's NEVER safe to smoke tobacco. It's a disgusting habit. In this day and age, there is simply NO reason for doing it as there are so many reasons not to.
You're just ruing a perfectly good body, and tax payers will pay for your cancer/organ failure treatment.
