More or less but in the UK less so because of changes in the tax laws.

Tax deductions are a legitmate reason to make charitable donations for anybody, not just celebrities.

I would hope that celebrities, who have such enormous clout with the public, would have other good reasons to give to their favorite charities as well. They have to know that their sphere of influence on the general public would encourage us little guys to follow their example.

liberals give to:
1) call attention to themselves.
2) make others believe they care as in "we feel you pain"
3) further their career by appearing to care about someone else's charity of choice " usually a directors, a producers, a casting persons, a leading star..."
liberals are really elitists who could care less about the homeless, or anything green or being politically correct. they are people who use private jets, and large gas gussling vehicles when they travel, who live and travel far more than normal people do but then turn around like a democrat and accuse everyone of destroying the environment. they have a double standard (the pre madonnas and common people). we the common folk should all ride bicycles to work and live in tents and grow our own vegetables in the back yard and be in touch with nature or we are evil. they should be free to do what ever they want be cause they are elitists with money.
