is it true that t-mobile will provide iphones in a couple of months?

i heard that apple and t-mobile will be partnering up and that probably this summer, t-mobile will begin to provide iphones as well. is this true? i really want an iphone, but i'm with t-mobile because it's plans are so cheap though reception sucks, it would be great if they did start selling iphones, but keep the cheap plans.
