...sensor more than once in a Hyundai? Last year on 6/8/08 the Hyundai dealership replaced my input/output speed sensor on a 2001 Hyundai Accent. I have read that this make and model has a problem with these...but I was surprised to find out that today my mechanic replaced the SAME part not even a year later. He said it was very corroded. Why is this? Do these parts really go bad that quickly?
 
Yes they do.The dealer probably used old stock that was sitting on the shelf for a while.Ask your mechanic if he checked out the ground and the wiring to make sure that is not also corroded.
