Is it worth it to subscribe to EHarmony or Match.Com?

I don't bars or clubs and I am generally pretty shy. I am not a serial murderer or anything. I am just a ordinary person looking to meet someon. I don't want to waste my money but if there is a reasonable chance that one of these sites will work I want to try.
 
A lot of those sites will give you a free trial, or a few months free or something, so why not. I have heard many good things about those sites. However, you could also meet people via Facebook or Myspace, or even Hotornot.com for free, if you don't feel like spending the money. Personally, I (prior to meeting my boyfriend), I went on a few dates with a few guys that I met on Hotornot.com and out of the few one of them turned into something that could have gotten serious, had I not had such a problem with driving to Brooklyn (I live about an hour north). For hotornot one person needs to have some sort of membership (the guys who clicked yes to me had one, so I didn't need one), but I think it's pretty cheap. Good Luck!
 
Free online dating sites may be worth trying first, if you tend toward socially permissive and aren't freaked out by seeing the occasional woman with a lip ring or primary-colored hair.
