The car was involved in a front end collision and was deemed a total by insurance. I've been paid out (other party's fault) for the value of the car, and was given the title of the car as well to do with as I please. The car had about 38k miles on it, had a clean title prior to the accident. Motor, ECU, and a lot of other parts are still good, though the radiator is shot (drive-able). Body parts from mid to the trunk are still good. Interior (non-smoking) of the car is close to immaculate. Parting it out over time could get me $5-6k, but I'd rather not go through the hassle and would be willing to take half that amount for it. The different salvage car buyers I've been finding online are only offering about $1k. Is there any other option that would allow me to get more for the car than just $1,000? If that's the most that a salvage place offers, I'd rather go through the trouble and part it out. I just want to know if there's any other option other than the 2 extremes in southern California.
