im 20 and acheived salvation in Christ over the summer, and currently feel like im slipping in faith a lot! when Jesus saves us and cleanses our hearts, is that just psychological and just us maturing, or is it truly Jesus doing all the work???
Trinity is fake and introduced by King Constantine in 325 AD as per Wikipedia and Encyclopedia of Britannica also is not accepted the trinity.
He is a son of Virgin Mary through the grace of God Almighty. He spoke from the cradle when he was baby.
He did so many miracles including heal leprosy and give life to death.Though he brought revelation from God Almighty the teachings to Jews had been rejected by them and are not in the original form.
Christians believe that he died in the cross for the sins of the believers but Muslims reject the story and believe that he had not been killed by Jews and had been raised by God Almighty Himself as per their Quran.
A fake what? There was probably a genuine human (or more than one) who was the kernel of truth around whom the religion grew. And Christ is a genuine mythic archetype, the redeemer. And this myth have redemptive powers that work on our psyches, which is why, in some form or another, this archetypal figure appears in most of the sacred literatures of the world.
Myth has broader shoulders than mere fact, to carry a larger burden of truth.
The straight and narrow path starts with baptism. Baptism, when properly administered by someone with the proper authority, is a covenant between God and man. A person, because of their faith in Jesus Christ, repents of their sins and covenants to keep the commandments of God. After a person is baptized, someone with the proper authority lays their hands on the new member and gives them the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Now that the person has commited themselves to keeping the commandments, and listening to the promptings of the Holy Ghost, they can start the journey which leads to Eternal Life, i.e. God's life. As long as they don't resist the spirit, and endure to the end, they will eventually become completely converted.
I'm guessing that you had one of those sham baptisms by some self-appointed authority or perhaps some shyster told you that lip service was the only requirement to be "saved." There is only one real priesthood. All the others are pretenders. There is only one real gospel. All the others are cheap imitations and cannot save a man. It is time for you to do some serious investigation.
im 20.. and i also just acheived salvation in christ.. about 6 months now.. i am also currently feeling the same way you do.. but ive learned alot.. spiritually.. look the cleansing i felt was super-natural.. i just know it was GOD.. in a way, we have matured spiritually.. we just stepped into a whole other world.. but we know that it challenges and builds our character, and most of all our spirit.. i have come to learn, that GOD loves us for who we are.. we dont have to struggle in being the most perfect christian and whatnot.. GOD knows our hearts.. believe this, it is Jesus doing all the work.. man if i could just share with you everything ive been learning this past couple months.... we are here on this earth to build our spirits.. let me share a paragraph with you of this book im reading.. ex-atheist howard storms "my descent into death: a second chance at life"..
Our perspective on life is wrong. We think this life in the world is important. It is only important as preparation for our eternal life. The only importance of this life is the choice we make to love God or not. When we die, our souls leave this world and move into a different dimension or new reality. What we have chosen determines whether that will be a reality of bliss or torment. Everything we do in life is a result of the choice we have made. We are either moving toward God or away from God. There is nothing in between. You cannot be neutral about God. To be indecisive about God is opposition to God. The Creator of the Universe, Supreme Being, Highest Lord, is not something one can ignore.
put it this way, we have just barely begun our spiritual journey.. like i said i wish i could share more..
i recommend you watch the google video its called "the nde of an arts professor".. its pretty long but it is valuable to our faith...
also let me add: do not listen to what others say if it is offending to GOD.. or the bible... i mean, go ahead you can, but its just a warning.. ive been down that road already.. just a whole lot more confusion, but in my heart for some reason i know that what i believe in is truth, and i keep coming back to my faith..
No, young warrior, it is not psychological and Jesus Christ is not a fake.
There is a spirit in this age, that is seducing our young. This generation is filled with things of satanic culture like, the messages in hip hop music, (rihanna, jay-z, beyonce, as sasha whomever, an alter ego) vampire romance and things of the dead, subliminal messages that confuse those who are unlearned in the word of God, and babes in Christ.
It is not unusual to feel like you are slipping in faith, but the danger in that is the doubt that sets in and the whisperings of satan that will say, "Oh, it is fun and free to live without God, He does not exist, He is imaginary, here you can have all the booze, and carnal things you like." Then he works on temptations by playing on your weaknesses and placing them in your face in ways that you cannot refuse. He will bring in wickedness, troubling, sin and pure evil because his purpose is to confuse and destroy you in a low and sinful state which will wind your soul in the Hell that God spoke of to be tortured and burned for an eternity.
Sure, we all mature, but when we mature in the word of God, our faith strengthens, and the word changes our life. Jesus does work in our lives, daily, He protects us and keeps us alive and breathing. He sheilds us from the fiery darts of Satan.
You must study the word of God dearheart, to strengthen your faith. Make time for it. Go chapter by chapter, and verse by verse. It doesn't really matter where you start as long as you start. Getting started they say is the hardest part, but you must study and focus on your studies to enrich your life in the Master, to gain wisdom, knowledge and understanding of the word of God and His plan for your life.
Make and take time for it. You can do it while you are eating lunch, 30 minutes a day. And as time goes on, you will see that you hunger and thirst for the word.
Also, you must talk to him, and pray. Tell God all about this trial of yours and how it makes you feel and ask Him to lead, guide and direct your paths. Trust Him. He will do it for you.
It doesn't come easy, like with all things, we must work for it, so when you begin to study, see the blessings that unfold, notice the wisdom and knowledge you have of many things, even those you may not know much about.
There is power in the name of Jesus, Power in the word of God and the Blood of Jesus will never lose its power. So as you begin your spiritual Journey, I wish you peace, blessings and prosperity and it will be a path you take that you will never regret.
Not a good thing to ask in here where the Atheists abound and are determined to ruin everyone's faith. But the answer is Jesus REALLY DID DO IT!!! yes, and don't forget and now do some homework. Pray and read the word, pray again and meditate on the word, and plan on memorizing some verses too. Jesus is Lord of all!!! Don't ever forget all he has done for you! And obey him all the time. If you are slipping, ask yourself why and if you don't know why, ask the Lord to tell you. He is able to pick you up again. It may take some mountain climbing though. Believe me, I have been there (doing the mountain climbing after slipping). God bless you!
Habakkuk 3:17-19 (New King James Version)
A Hymn of Faith
17 Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The LORD God [a] is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.
To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments.
Yes, emotional experiences are all in your head. There's no evidence a Christ ever existed, it's more likely Paul and his ilk made it up, possible borrowing biographical data from one or more historic people to serve as the backstory for their gnostic myths.
christ wasnt divine, he was a person like us, an animal like us nothing more. thats if he truely did exist as very little verifiable evidence points to his existance
Study Mithra, Horus, Krishna, and the Buddha. Jesus Christ is obviously an amalgam of those characters from previous religions. Once you see the similarities, you will stop believing anything the Bible says about Jesus Christ.
