Is KIA a domestic model?

I'm trying to buy a car. I don't want a foreing model because I was told the parts are more expensive. But I like the KIA Sportage.

No, it's an Asian import. Actually, many imports are now very reasonable to repair and maintain.

KIA is a division of Hyundai, which is a foreign make as well.

Foreign parts aren't as expesive as they used to be. Back in the day when imports were not as popular, people paid more for the parts. Today, import vehicles are more respected for their quality (and their makers aren't begging governments for money either) and parts are readily available at most suppliers.
