I have a male betta that is dark blue/purple/green mixture. He has a dark head as well. I keep him in a 2.5 gallon tank. I clean it every week. I aad aquarium salt to his water and keep the temperature up.

I notice from time to time that my betta has silver underneath his chin that splits off to his mid section. It appears slightly white at times but IT IS NOT COTTONY STRINGY OR SALT CRYSTAL like. He is active eating like a pig and appears fine otherwise. Im worried that the silver underneath him is a sickness of some type. He sometimes appears to have a little white/grey on his cheeks but again it does not look like Fungus

Can anyone help?

If he does not have fungus, swelling or white specks that look that grains of salt (ick) then he should be fine. Especially since he's active and eating like a pig. It could just be part of his colouring.
