Is my internet connection secure?

I installed a talkalk echolife wireless modem yest but im not sure if ive secured the connection or not. When i put ip address into address bar it comes up with username and password which i typed admin into both. It opened up my router info which says it's WPA-PSK with encryption TKIP but pre-shared key is all astricks (*****). Is this the password?
Which password do i need to change to make it safe? The admin one? if so how? or the pre-shared key one?
Also, if it's unsecured can people see my details? or just use my connection?

How do i change the passwords? I cannot find where to change the admin username and password? Also the pre-shared key is all ***** so how do i know what it is to change it.

If you have WPA on then your router is secure and no one can connect wirelessly to your router without the WPA key, you only need to change the admin user name and password if you have given others the WPA key and want them to be able to use the interneet but not be able to access the router configuration pages.
