I have been told recently by several parents that their children, who are young adults, are deciding upon reading about the peace and environmental movements established through Sokka Gakai International and their President, Daisaku Ikeda that several of their children are joining the Buddhist movement from Japan. I know that Daisaku Ikeda is classed with Mahatma Ghandhi and Martin Luther King at the Louisiana World Peace Day September 27th. The article that I read stated that Nichiren Buddhism, the popular faith of many celebrities, is becoming quite popular, especially among young people, in the South. http://www.morehouse.edu/about/chapel/peace_exhibit/exhibit/download.html
