...that made up by people? Just curious because I have this friend who believes that he is real but I don't so I either want to prove her right or wrong.
He is a real person (author), but can't predict squat. If he could/can/did, how come we can't prevent/stop any of his predictions.
People alays say he predicted things AFTER they happen never before. That's not predictions! People said he predicted 9/11, Scooby Doo also predicted 9/11, he said "Hey shaggy, something bad is going to happen."
He is real, he did write many things. Whether or not he's a true prohpet, I don't know for sure.
Otherpeople have interpreted him and said he could see the future. Most of the time those others don't figure out the prophesy until after the fact...so It lends itself to disbelief. IMO- you can always find something to show conspiracy if you look hard enough.
Nostradamus was a doctor who lived in 15th-16th century France.
He did not predict the future.
He predicted the past.
His "predictions" are so garbled and nonsensical that no one can say what they're supposed to predict.
After something big happens - like 911 - people go back to his writings and find "predictions" that seem to fit the events that have already occurred.
Yes and yes. Almost everything he predicted hasn't or won't happen, but he for-saw a lot of events and people that have happened.

yes he was a real person, he lived in france and wrote little rhymes that were to predict the future. i have read some of what hes written, and to be honest. most rhymes are about as clear as 'there will be a war' or 'there will be a famine' its rather hard to be wrong when making that kind of predictions.
there are a lot of hoaxes floating around no the internet though with texts hes supposidly to have written about e.g. 9/11
