Is now a good time to buy android?

I am looking at getting a HTC incredible or getting the upcoming droid 2, but will there be a better phone just a month or two away? I plan on keeping the phone for years so a short wait is not unreasonable.
I am on verizon and am looking for a phone running Android with very capable hardware

The way Android phones are coming out nowadays, there will always be a better one coming out every 4-6 months. The original Droid came out only 9 months ago, and look how many have come out since then.. Motorola is rumored to be launching a superphone at the end of the year, and HTC as well.. But then next year, there will be 4G Android phones, so it's really up to you...
