Is pokemon a pro dog fighting and animal abuse game?

I mean you get a monster train it to fight then sick it on other monsters to have them beaten half to death and when it is weak you trap it in a very small cage and then train that one to fight too against it's will. And you take your abused animals to fighting torments where you fight them against other peoples abused animals for rewards.

How is that not exactly what dog fighting is?

Pokemon is based on rhino beetle wrestling, where two beetles are put on a log and bets are placed on which one will knock the other off. it's far less violent than dog fighting.
 
I wouldn't say that since they aren't even real and they monsters. So why are you compairing them to dogs?

its a fictional cartoon video game

Is call of duty abuse against military? Is GTA influencing murder? should we stop watching the news?
 
Because pokemon isn't real.

Don't overthink things that were made back in the early 90's.
 
In the story... the main character loves his pokemon and he offen saves a lot of them!
only the bad guys treat their pokemons badly!
it's is just a cartoon!
(tom and jerry want to kill each other all te time!)
