Is prom overated?

To be honest I had fun at mine, get to hang out and get massively drunk with all your friends before they move off, plus you get guaranteed sex

Yeah, prom is overrated. One night of dancing with other people then some sort of afterparty. Sounds like something else I know about. Oh yeah, COLLEGE!! Prom is the biggest waste of money. Nothing but drama too. Anything done at a prom can be done at colllege (sex, drugs, drinking) and you don't have spend $150+ dollars every time you want to do it.


FWIW, I did not go to either of my HS proms. I actually worked at my job those nights (willingly) and earned a damned good bit of money (9.50/hour + 8hours of overtime :tup: ). I played ihav.net earlier on those days too (win, win for me).

The only way i am going to prom is if a female asks me (very unlikely, but unless i hate the person or am in danger of puking by looking at them, i wont say no) or if i have a girlfriend at the time that wants to go. And i am currently single so looks like i get to save my money. :tup:

I went to prom single as with 4 other guys and some other friend who had dates. I ended up saving a lot of money from buying another ticket, dinner, flower shit, etc. I just danced with other peoples dates and went to an awesome after party and yes, booze and sex

Pretty much what I'm doing.
I'm banned from prom because my friend tried putting $200 of LSD into the juice bowl, and I pitched in for most of it.

Now THAT would have been fucking EPIC if we would have pulled it off.
