Is running on a treadmill healthier/better than biking on a stationary bike in the

gym? I just joined the gym and I started running on the treadmill, well my knees and my shins were hurting pretty bad. I switched shoes and that helped a little bit but not completely. Then I started biking on one of those stationary bikes, obviously I go a lot farther faster, but is it healthier or better than a treadmill or not....all I want to do is to loose weight, not really tone anything???
