Is sending emails really that bad? Why did the girl laugh in class?

Onetime I wanted to let the girl know I liked her. So I sent her an email saying her name and putting a ;) face in it. I just did that because I liked her and I didn't want to come on too fast and strong.

She didn't email me back and she didn't talk to me the next week in school. Once I got the message, I stopped talking to her for a while. She didn't seem too friendly to me after I emailed her. She started blowing me off

So later on, (2/15), she seemed friendly to me. She smiles at me when she sees me and says "hi."

She moved her seat after I sent the email and said she needed more room.

I just thought that after I emailed the girl and she stopped talking to me that would be it. Like she wouldn't want anything to do with me after that.

I'm glad she's smiling at me and saying hi to me whenever she sees me though.

I got scared off because she was ignoring me that night in school.

I notice she kind of smiles when I'm talking to her. I wonder if it's because I'm a little nervous.

Also one night in class, our teacher who is an older male instructor complimented my looks so to speak. He was like, "When you're choosing a witness to a Will, don't pick some old person like me, pick someone like this nice young fellow here!" and he pointed at me. So then the girl I liked started laughing hard. She seemed to laugh the hardest out of all the girls in my class. Why would she laugh? I'm just curious. Was the teacher making fun of me?

One night we were sitting at a table and the girl I liked volunteered to sit next to me because this one other girl was coming to our table. But the girl I liked moved a seat away from me. She still sat at the table though.

When I sent the email, I really didn't think it would be such a big deal. I was just trying to be subtle.

I would have asked her out in class but once our instructor starts lecturing, he never stops. I would have felt funny asking her out in class.

She still says hi to me to and stuff. I saw her tonight while I was on the phone and she said hey and I said hey back. When she looked at me, her eyes were kind of bugged out but not in an angry way.

The only thing that bothers me is how after I sent the email, she had one of her girlfriends following me around. This was after I sent the email and she didn't answer back. So one of girlfriends (who I already had a bad history with because she gave me the cold shoulder for not doing her homework for her) was following me around all ****** night when I was near the girl I emailed. Like gimme a break. Did the girl think she was being her bodyguard?
