Is she just not interested in me or am I reading her wrong?

Two months ago I met a really sweet girl that I've fallen for hard. We've spent the night together, hooked up (not sex), gone out, and she's always really touchy and cuddly on me. Even her friend told me that she likes me but she is still confusing me somehow. While laying in bed together I ask her what it is that she wants and she replies that she doesn't know. This makes all kinds of questions run through my mind like am I a backup plan or what. She never texts me first either but always gives good responses to the ones I send and she always calls me back if it's a missed call. Don't get me wrong, I REALLY enjoy being with her. It's just that I don't want to waste my time if her interest level or effort level is minimal. I'm trying to hold myself back from calling or texting her today and tomorrow but what if she takes that as a sign of disinterest? REally need some advice on this please.

Girls don't like to always start conversations, by having the guy start it can make a women feel that he is thinking about her, and that makes a women feel good. Just because she said she doesn't know what she wants doesn't mean it isn't you. That can mean so many things that really depend on how old you are. If you are teenagers then it probably means she doesn't know what she wants in a guy yet, but the longer you stick around the more she will find you fit what she wants. If you are in college it can mean something similar, but she doesn't know if she is completely in love with you and that is causing her confusion or she is still searching for the type of guy she wants. Anything older than college I don't know because I am still in college. I would say over all stick around she probably really likes you. Backing off for a day or two is a good idea if she starts a conversation it means she really likes you.
