I have been contemplating this for a while now. I understand in the Bible it says to follow the authority and do what it commands you, but there in Genesis 1:29 the Bible talks about using and enjoying plants, so would the illegalization of cannabis be going AGAINST the bible?just a thought. And I also understand the bible says the body is a temple and not to defile it, but that verse, to me, is talking more directly towards immoral sex, not ANYTHING bad for your body.
Example:I go to a Co-gos I see dozens of sodas/sugary drinks and candies that clog arteries. i look over the the counter and see numerous cigarettes lining the wall that destroy your lungs.
You tell me. Is it also a sin to eat food that makes your body "dirty"
because i believe if what people say about weed(which is less harmful then tobacco) "defiling" my body shouldn't a snickers bar be held just as accountable?
Cannabis does not cause permanent brain damage, is not highly addictive, and the only reason it is a "gateway" drug is because it is highly involved with other hard drugs because drug dealers rarely exclusively sell cannabis and should not be involved due to it being a soft drug

let me know what you think cause i could use some advice:)

The question is does smoking weed make you a better person? Does it help or hinder your relationships? Will it help you move toward your goals?

I don't know how God views it, but it is rather unhealthy. So I'd say it's a sin in your body's eyes.

God is a figment of the popular imagination, same as the law.

The law says it's wrong so I imagine God does too.
