Is strausburg currently the best pitcher in all of baseball?

Nope. He's certainly one of the most-hyped, especially now that he's nearly at the team-imposed innings limit, but he is not yet the best pitcher in the game. He'll have to complete some games, throw 200+ innings, and win a Cy Young Award to even be included in the discussion.

Calling him the best pitcher in baseball is like saying a marathon runner who runs the fastest first 15 miles but then can't finish the rest is the best marathon runner in the world.

Look at Verlander, Kershaw, Hernandez, or Weaver.
