Is T-Mobile's network bad?

I recently got with T-Mobile and have to say that their coverage is really horrible. I used them before in Europe and never even knew what a dropped call was. Here however every carrier seems to have them and I wonder why. Sometimes I am in areas in which I either have bad connection or no connection at all. Is there a better carrier than T-Mobile or is it not worth the switching costs?
 
All cell phone networks have the same prolems, because cell phones work on radio transmissions, much like two-way radio. This is why it can get static interference, blocked signals, etc.
 
i have tmobile and i think they have great coverage, however it depends on what cellphone towers are in your area and if your near a woodsey or mountainy area those areas usually have horrible service with any provider, but i would stick out with tmobile i've had just about every single carrier for contract and prepaid and tmobile is by far the best.
